This 31 page booklet, full of maps and diagrams, is split into two parts.
The first, A History of New Hall Mill by Roger Lea traces the first mill back to the late 16th century and continues to its present operation by the Friends of New Hall Mill. This is a voluntary organisation which aims to maintain and operate the mill in conjunction with The New Hall Mill Preservation Trust and to promote it as an educational resource and heritage centre.
The second part of the book, An Account of the Machinery by Tim Booth, describes the existing machinery and some speculation about what might have gone before.
